First things first. Anything we all should know about you as a skateboarder Mr. Fakie God?
Me as a skater? I love skating fakie and I'm more comfortable skating fakie than regular. Also shouts out to SoundCloud for bringing so much different kinds of innovative music to the table.
Big ups to SoundCloud my dudes. Music is essential in skateboarding. So how do you feel skateboarding has affected your way of thinking as an individual?
Skateboarding has created a different perspective for me on life in general, as in you can really do what you want if you have the right mentatlity with it. A skate trick, if you imagine it, if you have that trick, you can turn that trick into your own, You could do anything you set your mind to.The only difference in life is that I see school and getting a degree as the same process. It made me feel more me as I skate fakie all the time. It makes me stand out and in skating it made me realize I'll never perfect anything but I'll always have a chance to constantly get better and as long as I have a chance to constantly get better and as long as I keep getting better that's all that matters.
Well my dude, what's your favorite fakie trick?
Fakie Hardflip
That's heavy. Any plans for 2k17 my boy?
Hopefully to just keep skating and keep having fun constantly try to progress and get better switch. Get more consistent with my weird fakie grinds and filming street. Oh yeah, I want to learn more one footed tricks like Zach Allen and finally get back 3's. The trick I've been wanting to do forever.
In that case, what's your approach or attitude towards learning new tricks?
If a human being can do it, then so can I. All that matters is if I put the effort into understanding the trick and then style comes after naturally.
So what's your view on the skate world right now?
I think it's interesting how small new board companies are taking over the game. Where as new brands like Welcome, and Quasi, are doing really well for being relatively new. Also, with Nike and Adidas joining the shoe game, it's become a business, but at least they still provide us with content like skate videos.
Yeah man. These new companies are really taking over. Got any film projects you working on? Fakie God VXtapes?
Not currently working on any film projects, just trying to skate and learn as much as possible.
Anything about skateboarding you enjoy most?
Everyone has their own stlye and way of doing things.
I feel that, it's actually the truth.Well who's got some of your favorite styles?
Definitely Ishod, Definitely Michael Piluzzi, and Erick Winkowski.
