So Brandon, what's the skate scene like where you're from?

The skate scene in Phill is in a weird place right now since Love Park got destroyed. Everyone Has been kind of spread out because we lost our meeting place and central spot. Muni is the place to go, but the bike cops are all over it. I've been working with local and federal government to get some new parks built in Philly, and we're doing very well, so hopefully the scene will be revitalized!

You're pretty active then bro. Who're some of the major influences on you in skateboarding?

Major influences are The Gonz (Mark Gonzales), TK (Terry Kennedy), Ishod (Wair), Nak (Na-kel Smith), Mark Suciu, and everybody who tries to do something different.

So then who's got your favorite style?

Probably Ishod's. He's super smooth at everything. But my favorite style might be Tyshawn Jones. Him and Ishod.

Tell us about your filming experience. What's your attitude or approach?

When I'm filming, I like to know exactly what trick I'm going to try and on what spot. I'm super specific now and I make lists and try to go through them. I used to just go and try stuff but now I don't like wasting the filmer's time trying something I may not get. I'm pretty calculated with it right now, which is new, but I like it.

Tell us how you got plugged in with Adidas?

Adidas came to Philly in 2003 right after Paines Park was built and threw a great contest and event. I ended up winning this photo contest they were running and got hooked up with some great people who work at Adidas. I kept in contact with them ever since and have been keeping them updated with all my footy, photos, and coverage. In return, they have been keeping me fresh and supporting me for years now. I really appreciate everything they do, huge shout out to Adidas! One day I want to get a signature shoe with them.

What about Gee? What's it all about? Having it being named after you?

Gee Skateboarding is a brand I created for every kid who feels like they don't have a voice. I used to feel so trapped and alone in Philly and I don't want the next generation to feel that way. My goal is to build skateparks and after-school programs in the Tri-State area to promote healthy lifestyles and positive interactions in our community.

What's next for you and Gee then?

My next moves for myself and Gee are to drop this video part I've been working on for the past 5 years and release the new products I have been designing. I have some really cool socks coming out and I am very excited for the future!

Any shoutouts?

Shoutouts to 1Flo, Annvier,  Adidas, Freeway Bearings, and shoutout to my Mom and my girlfriend Kennedy.

Much love man. Thanks for your time!

No problem.
